I just wanted to thank you for coming up with this product! As a CPAP user who was told to start nose breathing, I hated taping my mouth. I started my sleep apnea journey in January. My ResMed AirSense 11 provides a report every morning, and I had a baseline of around 25 events per hour (AHI) before CPAP. After trying many masks and settings, I settled on the AirFit N20 nasal mask and a wide-mesh chin strap. I wasn’t a fan of the chin strap, but without it my mouth would come open and undermine the whole deal. When I saw the MouthShield ad online, it struck me as unique and creative. I am skeptical of internet ads, but I took the risk and I am SO glad I did. Used it the first night: comfortable, and my AHI was 3 events—much lower than I had ever hoped. Having used a CPAP most of my adult life, masks always drove me crazy, so I’ve always used nasal pillows. I sleep on my back, so my mouth naturally falls open. I tried taping, tying a scarf around my chin, propping a pillow under my chin—all to no avail. Found MouthShield online and IT ACTUALLY WORKS! I have had my MouthShield for a month. I was having problems mouth breathing with my nasal mask and CPAP. I used a chin strap and mouth tape but still had air leaks through my mouth. Now I have a good seal with the MouthShield. It took a few days to get used to, but now I barely notice it and it’s giving me excellent results with my CPAP device. It’s a great product and I recommend it for any CPAP user with a nasal mask.

The MouthShield has greatly improved my dry mouth and throat issues. A chin strap did not work for me. It took about two weeks to become comfortable with it, but now it’s well worth it.
